Yamaha CD-C600BL 5-Disc CD Changer
High Quality SoundDesigned
to Deliver Satisfying Sound Quality
This CD changer delivers sound that will satisfy devoted music fans. In
addition to CDs, it also provides high quality play of music files stored on
digital audio players like iPod or USB memory devices via a USB port on the
front panel.
The CD-C600 provides the same Pure Direct feature that is a popular feature of
Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. Pressing the button on the front panel or on
the remote control shuts down the digital audio output and turns off the
display. This achieves the lowest possible noise interface and thus highest sound
quality of the analog audio output.
Yamaha technicians devoted a great deal of time and effort to designing the
overall interior layout of parts and circuit boards, a factor that
significantly affects sound quality. As a result, the power supplies for the
motor drive, display and USB sections, as well as the digital, and analog
sections are individually isolated, eliminating electromagnetic interference
among them. To achieve ideal weight balance for stable performance, the drive
mechanism is located in the center of the unit.
The internal layout of parts and circuit boards is highly logical and
symmetrical, with signal paths on each board as short as possible, and signal
paths between sections straight and short (not easy to achieve) to minimize the
chance of signal loss or interference.
The high performance D/A conversion system, which takes full advantage of
digital technology developed by Yamaha over a period of many years, ensures
excellent conversion precision, S/N ratio and dynamic range. All other
components, including the Burr Brown 192kHz/24-bit DAC that has a firmly
established reputation, the acoustic capacitor and the symmetrically laid out
audio board, were carefully selected based on extensive listening tests to
provide natural and musically rich playback.
The laser pickup is isolated on a floating mechanism so its delicate operation
cannot be affected by vibration.
Conventional tracking servo circuitry cannot completely overcome errors caused
by disc defects, warped discs, dust and so on. This system uses a dependable
DSP (Digital Signal Processor) exclusive for CDs to monitor the signal,
adjusting pickup tracking and focus, as well as spindle motor speed, to
compensate for any problems.

Uninterrupted Music
This
changer is a 5-disc carousel type, giving you benefits of extended playing time
and direct selection from any of five discs. And with PlayXchange, you can
change up to four discs while the fifth continues to play. You don't have to
interrupt the music to change a disc and you're not limited to changing only
one disc at a time. What's more, when you press the open/close button, the tray
opens all the way, allowing you to change all 5 discs at once.
The USB port on the front panel gives you an easy way to enjoy high quality
sound from MP3 or WMA digital files stored on USB players and memory devices,
as well as on memory cards mounted on USB card readers. You can also play files
recorded on CD-R/RW discs.
